Common Questions About Therapy
Get the information you need to feel comfortable, informed, and confident as you take the next step toward greater clarity and well-being.

How do I know if I need therapy?
If you’re over-thinking, struggling in a relationship, navigating a life transition, feeling overwhelmed or simply stuck, these are all good reasons to start therapy. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from talking to someone. Many of my clients begin therapy when they’re functioning but not thriving. I provide a safe, supportive space where we can work together to create meaningful change.
What if things aren’t bad enough for therapy?
You don't need to reach a certain level of severity to benefit from therapy. If something is taking up space in your mind, it’s worth talking about.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out of network provider. Client’s pay in full at the time of service and we will provide you a super bill that you can submit for reimbursement.
Why do I feel anxious even when nothing is wrong?
Anxiety does not always need an obvious reason. You may find yourself overthinking, anticipating problems, or unable to fully relax. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving that anxiety and learn how to quiet it.
Are sessions virtual or in-person?
All sessions are virtual.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in session is protected by confidentiality laws, with a few standard legal exceptions (risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law); this will be written in the informed consent paperwork.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Credit Cards via Square, Venmo and Zelle.
What is the difference between weekly sessions and an 8-week session program?
Weekly therapy is designed for ongoing work. We meet on a steady schedule, allowing space for stories, patterns, and situations to unfold over time.
My intensives are different. They’re shorter and more targeted: eight focused sessions designed to address a particular issue and create concrete change, rather than open-ended exploration.
